For school IT teams
Most school setup is straightforward, but network restrictions can prevent AI services from working correctly. We recommend that your school IT team complete the three steps below before a workshop, pilot or deployment. Everything needed is on this page.

1 — Domain whitelisting
In our experience supporting schools — particularly MOE schools — student iPads are often unable to receive AI-generated images because these domains are restricted by the school network or the Mobile Device Management system. Permitting them is usually the only network change required.

2 — MDM whitelisting
If the school manages student devices through a Mobile Device Management solution, ensure that the Hypersketch app and the three domains above are permitted within the MDM configuration.
Then check that the app can connect to the required services and function normally on a managed student device.
3 — Testing for full functionality
After completing the network and MDM configuration, verify the setup using a student iPad — these devices typically have stricter network restrictions than staff devices.
If the generated images appear in the generation gallery, the required domains are accessible and Hypersketch is functioning correctly on the school network.

Current workshop deployments can use iPad, laptop or Android tablet. Any current mainstream browser is suitable; confirm the specific build with us if your fleet is locked to an older version.

Open Hypersketch on the intended school network and perform a generation before workshop day. This is practical advice rather than a guarantee.

Saved Web App project work is currently stored in Hypersketch-managed cloud infrastructure in Singapore, using Amazon Web Services.
No. Some AI functions require temporary processing through specialised cloud infrastructure outside Singapore. Depending on the function and provider, this may occur in Singapore, the United States, Canada, Iceland, Norway or Romania. Only the content necessary for the requested AI action is sent, and temporary processing data is removed when the computing environment shuts down.
No. Students authenticate using a school-authorised email account. We do not require home addresses, telephone numbers or dates of birth, and we use a pseudonymous internal identifier where practicable.
